Statement of Beliefs

Introduction

The BibelCenter is a Christian ministry working on a non-denominational bases, it rests on a private initiative and currently is active exclusively via the Internet. As such the BibelCenter actually does not have its own "Creed" in the common sense of the word, which most visitors of the BibelCenter website know from different churches and denominations.

The BibelCenter is concentrating on efforts to search the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, in order to understand the truths that are revealed in it, endeavouring to continually grow in knowledge unto him, who is the head, Jesus Christ. The goal is to grow in a knowledge of God and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

There are many different Christian groups with a great variety of creeds and beliefs. In order to give the visitors of the BibelCenter website a general idea of the beliefs reflected in the instruction and articles that are published here, and to clarify the emphasis on the study of the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, I have put together the following information about the Christian beliefs, which I hold to in my articles and studies that are made available here.

The Holy scriptures (the Bible)

I believe that the Bible, as it was originally given, is the God inspired Word of God. It was written by man who were inspired by holy spirit and who wrote in God's name and as they were guided by God.

The Bible was in its original manuscripts without errors and accurate. Seeming contradictions which we may find in our Bible versions today or which exist between Biblical statements and commonly propagated doctrines are caused by either a wrong understanding or by mistakes in the translation or mistakes in the transmission of the original texts. Such difficulties may be solved by comparing scriptures with scriptures and by allowing the word of God to speak for itself. If scripture is correctly understood and if one has the correct text variant, there will be no contradictions in the Bible.

The Bibel, when it is correctly understood, is man's only and final authority for faith and life.

God

I believe in the one true God, the creator of heaven and earth. He is the father of our lord Jesus Christ, and also the father of all who become sons of God by having faith in Christ. God is Spirit, and He must be worshipped in spirit and in truth. He alone is the true God

Jesus Christ

I believe that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten (only born) Son, conceived by the holy spirit in the virgin Mary. He was without sin and remained without sin and thus could be the perfect sacrifice for sin for the redemption of man. He died as the lamb of God, he gave his life as a ransom on the cross, was buried and was raised from the dead by God on the third day after three days and three nights, and he now lives forever and was received into heaven 40 days after his resurrection. From there is his return to judge and to complete God's eternal plan of salvation, to give the saints eternal life, to establish the new covenant and exercise his reign.

Holy Spirit

I believe that God is HOLY and that God is SPIRIT. As the giver of gifts, he gives to everyone how believes on Christ His gift holy spirit. It is the seal of the inheritance promised by God, God's guarantee for believers that He will keep His part toward man's salvation. God also works via his gift holy spirit in the believer to both will and do of His good pleasure.

Man's relationship to God

I believe that God has made, formed and created man ins His image so that man may have fellowship with God and that he should worship Him, glorify Him and serve Him. Adam however decided to be disobedient to God, and by his transgression sin and death entered into the world and sinful man is now separated from God. Man is lost, dead in sin, and he needs a savior in order to be reconciled to God. Such salvation was provided for by God in that He gave His only begotten Son so that through faith in him man would not be lost but become sons of God and have eternal life.
Man is not saved and does not become righteous before God because of his own works or his own earnings, but rather is saved on the grounds of the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ, on the basis of grace by faith in the complete and accomplished work of Christ. Confessing Jesus as lord and serving him, and believing on ihm as the Son of God whom God raised from the dead are the things necessary on the part of man to be saved.

Death and resurrection

I believe that at the time of the coming of Christ, the dead in Christ are made alive and the Christians living at that time and thereafter are changed to have part in eternal life and be with their Lord. There is a resurrection of the dead, and the believers will reign with Christ and have eternal life in the presence of God and of His Son; the unbelievers are judged and will be lost

You may also find materials and articles on the BibelCenter website whose authors differ in some points from the above statement of beliefs. Each visitor of the website is encouraged to search the Scriptures and to read and compare to see "whether those things are so".
